Export PDF text into formats that are easier to reuse.

PDF to documents is for PDFs that already contain selectable text. It extracts the readable content in the browser and packages it as DOCX, XLSX, CSV or TXT so the text can be edited, searched, imported or reviewed outside the PDF.

Choose DOCX

Use DOCX when you want editable content in a word processor. The export groups wrapped lines into paragraphs and rebuilds recognizable headings, lists and simple tables.

Choose XLSX or CSV

Use spreadsheet formats for reports, statements and table-like pages. Detected columns become formatted cells with a frozen header and filters for faster cleanup.

Scanned PDFs

If no selectable text is found, run OCR first. Scanned pages are images, so they need text recognition before export.

Helpful notes

  • Use TXT for the simplest plain-text archive.
  • Use CSV when another app expects rows and columns.
  • Review OCR output before exporting scanned documents.
  • Complex PDFs may need cleanup after export because PDFs do not always store logical table structure.
